Michèle Bédard specializes in commercial and civil litigation, insurance law, professional liability, product liability and construction law. In this capacity, she acts before the civil courts, administrative and disciplinary tribunals. Over the years, she acquired extensive experience in alternative dispute-resolution methods.
In the area of insurance law, she has developed specific expertise in the interpretation of contracts covering civil and general liability, professional liability and directors’ and officers’ liability. She represents insurers before the courts in matters involving the interpretation of insurance policies.

Michèle Bédard is regularly invited as speaker on a wide range of topics pertaining to risk management, insurance, civil and construction law. For instance, she gave a conference on Wellington Motions during the 2016 annual Quebec Bar conference on recent developments in insurance law, which led to the publication of an article on the same topic in early 2017. In 2017 and 2018, she acted as a moderator for the « Cercles d’enrichissement » of the Association of Quebec Women in Finance and also gave a conference on negotiation skills (March 2018).
